1. Tonight we had a 4.9 magnitude earthquake hit about 35-40 miles from us. Everyone is talking about it. It is the talk of the state. People felt it all over our town. They felt it all over the big city. Scott and I both missed it, as we were in our cars driving. I didn't miss it by much, though, because when I arrived at the gym, it had just occured and they were talking about how they felt the building sway. I'm a little disappointed. I think it would have been neat to feel a small earthquake.
2. The reason we were both driving at the time of the earthquake is that we had just finished shopping. We got wind of a mega clearance sale, and I called Scott to meet me at the store. I bought dress pants (that still had the tag on from Macy's) that had a retail value of $158. My price? $2.29. Sweet! I got another pair of pants and Scott got 2 pairs of J.Crew pants and a long-sleeve button up. The grand total for those 5 items? $11.25. Not too bad.
3. Our sweet grocery shopping deal of the week included 6 boxes of Life cereal, 1 Cap'n Crunch cereal, and 3 boxes of individually packaged oatmeal packets. The total for those 10 Quaker items? $4.30.
Excuse me while I go. We're off to McDonald's for our 2 free fruit smoothies.
