Many of you know that I am an alumnus of Texas Tech University. During my time of study there, we were your typical 7-4 or 6-5 team, with the occasional bowl game. But this year, I and my fellow Texas Tech people have reason to celebrate. As of this past weekend, we are ranked #2 in the BCS standings, a complicated system to determine the two teams who play for the national championship in January. This means that Texas Tech has a good chance to be playing for the championship.
There are still a couple of obstacles in the way, such as an away game at Oklahoma (#5 in the standings), and then a championship game for the Big 12 (perhaps against Missouri, another highly ranked team). However, watching last second catches for touchdowns against #1 (at the time) Texas and a blowout against Oklahoma State (#7 at the time) gives me great hope.
So get your guns up on November 22 for yet another featured game, as Texas Tech plays Oklahoma, very likely with a national championship opportunity at stake. Go Tech!

Oklahoma will win.
We'll see, Craig. Oklahoma lost to Texas, and Tech beat Texas. Texas barely beat Oklahoma State, and Tech hammered them. I see Texas Tech, National Champion this year.
By the way, how are the Aggies doing?
They are 2-0 in this young basketball season!
