Double Double

For the past several weeks, our local grocery store has been offering vouchers to double a number of manufacturer coupons. While we don't have double coupon days here, the vouchers have been a nice opportunity to stock up on groceries for less.

I think today was the best we've done. We have 5 double coupon vouchers and here's what we bought. I'll list the regular price as well.

1 gallon skim milk: 1.99
1 gallon 2% milk: 1.99
Oscar Mayer hot dogs: 3.99
Oscar Mayer hot dogs: 3.99
Breyers ice cream: 6.39
4 containers Dannon yogurt: 0.75

The total if we paid full price, which would be foolish since it's so expensive- 21.35.

The price we paid- 1.49! With double coupons we got the milk for 0.17 a gallon, the ice cream was 0.50, the hot dogs were free, and the yogurt was 0.12 each. What a deal! We like double coupons.
