There was finally a break in the snow, and Scott and I went out to shovel. I got all ready with my boots, ski jacket, hat, and gloves. I had to dig out my boots as I haven't used them since last year.

Making Snow Angels
You know that storm that brought snow to Seattle? It hit us today. The forecast looked pretty bleak for today, so I went to work yesterday anticipating the coming storm. Boy, was I glad I did. We got nearly 8 inches in 6 hours, and it was a mess. It was much more enjoyable to see the snow coming down from the warm comfort of our home, knowing I didn't have to go out all day.

The snow was light and fluffy...the stuff skiers love out here. After we got done shoveling, I just couldn't resist. Looking at all of the perfect powder untouched in our backyard, I just had to jump in it. I made snow angels while the snow started to come down again. It was beautiful! I felt like a kid again as I made snow angels in the backyard. It's been years since I've done that.
What a great way to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Of course, Scott thought I was crazy and would have no part in playing in the snow. He's always the one wishing for snow. I don't get it. He was gracious enough to take a few pictures for me.
The only bad part? Since it was an unplanned romp in the snow, the jeans made sure I wasn't out too long. My pants were soaked through within a couple of minutes. Would I do it again? Definitely!
