Our most recent storm with significant snowfall began on Christmas Day evening and continued into the next day. It first started out with pouring rain...yes, rain. How strange to look out and see all the monstrous snow piles, with rain coming down. The rain turned to huge snowflakes and didn't stop until 12 hours later. Terrible! The plows seemed like they didn't start clearing until the storm stopped, and by then they were playing catch-up.
They didn't start clearing neighborhoods until several hours after the storm stopped. And then the one plow in our neighborhood broke down. I think it just got exhausted (kind of like my back from shoveling) and quit. Here you can see the tired snowplow in the middle and another plow that came to check things out (get out on the road buddy, they're terrible and need clearing.)
